MS972 Heavy Duty Fixed Tooth Mulcher for Skidsteer
The MS972 Baumalight brush mulcher is much like our MS960 only wider featuring a 72” rotor and 84” path width.
It has the same teeth and like the MS960 also has replaceable wear plates and a very short frame which brings the weight closer to the skidsteer allowing very productive mulching with a smaller track machine or wheeled skidsteer.
Operating a Brush Mulcher from a skid steer is probably the most comfortable way for vegetation management as your work is directly in front of you and new skidsteers are very operator comfort focused.
See our brush cutting size chart to see what limb size this heavy duty skidsteer mounted forestry mulcher can handle.
When push comes to shove, the integrated push bar helps control |
Built into the pusher bar, the directional felling hook will directionally control wayward trees, sprawling clumps and low hanging limbs. |
The two replaceable skid shoes allow the operator to adjust the cutting height for optimal clearing performance |
The MS960’s frame is angled so that you can roll back the Brushy Mulcher, pulling back the pusher bar so that you can fully engage the mulching head. This allows the operator to use the mulching head to fell standing trees. |
Take full advantage of the forward curl and roll back of the MS960 without risking expensive damage to the hoses. Unique to the Baumalight Brush Mulcher, the spring loaded hose support prevents the hoses from falling into harm’s way during forward curl. |
The new curved host bracket provides better support of the hose while reducing the risk of pinching or chafing. |
Baumalight hoses are sleeved for the operator and hose protection. A pivoting arm is also standard with a greasable pin keeping the slack out of the way which protects the hoses from dangerous pinching and strain. |
To accomodate for different skidsteers that have the couplers on different sides, the MS960's hose support is positioned close to the centre of the mulching head and has an adjustable hose. |
The adjustable belt tensioner ensures the proper tension of your belts, with no extra idler wheel that could wear out. Simply loosen the bolts and raise the motor mount to tighten the belt. |
To maximize the rotor speed and torque to account for changing mulching material, the MS960 is available with a variable two-speed motor option. |
Large PSI pressure gauge for maintaining the optimal flow that gives you a clear indication of the most efficient brush mulching performance. |
If you are mulching and you catch some old fence wire, it can really cause damage to the unit if the wire slips over the edge of the rotor and gets wrapped around the shaft. The wire can get bunched against the bearings, causing major damage. Our wire protection kit contains a welded raised area on the end of the rotor that protects the shaft and prevents wire from getting in. |
The rear of the unit is guarded by a 3/8” thick chain curtain so standing brush enters and mulched debris exits. |
Now completely redesigned for the 900 series Brush Mulcher, the heavy duty steel frame is constructed with T1 alloy tool steel sheet metal. |
Also redesigned for the 900 Series Brush Mulcher, the skidsteer plate is constructed with heavy duty steel with lots of gusseting and reinforcements. |
Our powder coat finish is much tougher than conventional paint to stand up to the rigors of mulching and helps prevent rusting. |
